A message of thanks from the Board
The Board of the Manyu Solidarity Group wishes to extend its sincere and heartfelt thanks to every member who contributed to the benefit fund for Ms Anwi Fomukong Ojong’s family.
We are pleased to confirm that we have reached our £10,000 target. Through a combination of online donations and direct bank transfers from members, the full benefit has now been raised. To date, £8,640 was received through our online donation platform from 230 donors, with the remainder received directly into the group’s bank account.
The generosity, speed, and solidarity shown by our membership during this difficult time has been a true reflection of what this organisation stands for.

Original Announcement – February 2026
The Board of the Manyu Solidarity Group announces with deep sadness the passing of Ms Anwi Fomukong Ojong, a valued member of our community. She passed away on 6 February 2026, aged 57.
Ms Ojong was born on 4 December 1968. In her memory, and in keeping with our organisational bylaws, we invited members to contribute to a benefit fund supporting her family during this difficult time.
Our Member Benefit System
The Manyu Solidarity Group exists to provide mutual support and solidarity to our members and their families during times of hardship. One of the cornerstones of our organisation is our member benefit scheme — a collective commitment to stand together when members face loss.
Ms Ojong’s family is eligible for a £10,000 member benefit under our bylaws. This fund is built through contributions from our membership, ensuring that when tragedy strikes, no family faces it alone.
This is how solidarity works: we contribute together, we support together, and we honour one another through concrete action.
In Her Memory
Ms Ojong’s passing reminds us of why the Manyu Solidarity Group exists. We are stronger together. In supporting her family, we honour her memory and reaffirm our commitment to one another.
